We only collect the data you choose to share with us. Here's what that includes:
Everything you write in Brain Log is stored so you can access it later:
We automatically collect some technical information to make the app work:
We only collect data that's necessary for Brain Log to work. Here's why:
Legal basis (GDPR): We process your data based on your consent (when you create an account) and to fulfill our contract with you (providing the app service). We only process what's necessary for the app to function.
We take security seriously. Your data is stored in a secure database with encryption. Passwords are hashed (encrypted) so even we can't see them. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Your data is stored on secure servers. We don't transfer your data outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards.
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all your data immediately. We don't keep backups of deleted accounts.
Only you. Your entries are private and only you can see them.
Important: We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it for marketing. Your data stays private.
Under UK GDPR, you have important rights over your data. Here's what you can do:
You can see all the data we have about you. You can export it anytime from your profile settings.
You can download all your data in a format you can use (JSON or CSV). Go to Profile → Settings → Data & Privacy.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time. This is permanent and cannot be undone. Go to Profile → Settings → Data & Privacy.
You can edit or update your data anytime. Most entries can be edited directly in the app.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. You're not locked in.
If you're under 18, you have extra protections under the Children's Code (Age-Appropriate Design Code):
Note: If you're under 13, you may need a parent or guardian's permission to use Brain Log, depending on where you live. We recommend talking to a trusted adult about using the app.
Brain Log uses minimal technical data to function:
No. We don't share your data with anyone.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't give it to other companies. The only exception would be if required by law (like a court order), which is extremely rare.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We'll also try to notify you of significant changes. You can always check this page to see the latest version.
If you have questions about your privacy, your data, or your rights, you can:
